WELCOME TO THE 459th SIGNAL BATTALION
459th Crest
Description: Orange and white are colors used for the Signal Corps. Blue alludes to the unit’s historic World War II Army Air Force service. The three campaign honors awarded the organization for service in Europe during World War II are represented by the lion “passant guardant” from the coat of arms of Normandy and the two fleurs-de-lis. The wavy stripe alludes to the unit’s landing at Omaha Beach in Normandy.
Motto: A terra ad astra (From the earth to the stars).
